Mamta Banerjee The Iron Lady Of India.

Mamta Banerjee is an Indian woman politician who has been serving as the Chief Minister of West Bengal one of the biggest states of India.She is also the first woman Chief Minister of West Bengal.

She was born at Calcutta in West Bengal that is one of eastern states of India. Her father's name is Promileswar Banerjee. Her mother's name is Gayetri Devi. 

When she was 17 years old her father died so he was cared by her mother. She completed senior Secondary from Deshbandhu Sishu Sikhshalay in 1970.She completed Graduation from Jugamaya Devi college colcutta. She got Master degree from University of Calcutta. She also got Bachelor Of Education from Shiksha yatan College. She also got LLB from Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri law College. She was also awarded Doctorate By Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Bhubaneswar one of private leading university of India. She was also awarded D. Litt by Calcutta University for her contribution for the development of society and common man. 

When she was 15 years old she joined student Union of Congress. She has been an active member of Union and participated all programs for the welfare and development of students. She opposed the movement of Jai Parkash Narayan that had been Organising against Congress. 

Her performance was very well as student leader so state leadership promoted her in Women wings of Party. She had been performing as General Secretary for four years(1976-1980).

Her performance was also very well as woman leader so he got an opportunity to fight Parliamentory election. She defeated Somnath Chatterjee one of top leaders of Communist Party of India. She became one of the youngest parliamentarian of India. 

She became the General Secretary of Youth Congress in 1984. Unfortunately she lost the parliyamentory Election of 1989 but she had been serving the people. He won six election continue from Calcutta South that was held in 1991,1996,1998,1999,2004 and 2009.
