Concept of Job Satisfaction and Factor affects Job Satisfaction.

 There are many hundred employees work inside the organization.The personality,perception,attitude of employees is variable from one another.Every things of employees put an impact of organization.The over all combination of all these features is known as job satisfaction.

Definition of Job Satisfaction-

There are many experts define job satisfaction by a number of ways.Some ways are as below-


According to Smith-Job Satisfaction is an employee's judgement of how well his job has satisfied his various needs.

According to Locker-Job satisfaction is a pleasurable emotional state resulting from the appraisal of one's job or job experiences.

According to Keith Davis-Job satisfaction is a set of the favourable or unfavourable feelings with which employees view their work.

According to Vroom-Job satisfaction is generally considered to be an individuals perceptual or emotional reaction to importants parts of work.

According to me Job Satisfaction is an internal feelings of employees towards their job.

Factor affects Job Satisfaction-

There are many factors affect Job satisfaction.These factors are as below-

1.Level of job-There are four levels of job in organization.These are Grade 1,Grade 2 and so on.The person who work high grade they feel more satisfied from their job because they get handsome payment and regard respect in society whereas the employee who work low grade they feel less job satisfaction because they get poor payment.

2.Pay scale-Every job has a particular pay structure.If this pay structure is better than all other same segment organisation employees feel more job satisfaction whereas if it is lower then employees feel less job satisfaction.

3.Working condition-It is also an important factor that affects job satisfaction of employees.Every organization possess particular type of policy,rules,regulation,law and so on.If all these things is perfect according to norms of employees then employees fell more job satisfaction.

4.Structure-There are four elements of organization.These elements are employees,structure,environment and technology.Environment is an important element of organization.It is collection of policy,progrmme,rules,regulation and law.If the structure of organization is perfect,global,world class employees feel more job satisfaction whereas if it is not world class employees feel less job satisfaction.

5.Environment-It is also an important element of organization.It consists norms,tradition,festivals,value,ethics rituals and so on.If all these things are fruitful,energetic employees feel more satisfaction.

6.Industrial relationship-Every organization has a industrial relationship.If this relationship is harmonious employees feel more job satisfaction.

Other factor-There are a number of other factors of employees like personality,perception,attitude and learning of employees affects job satisfaction.
