Yoga is the Hindi word that was derived from Sanskrit word YUJ that means join or union or yoke. It is an ancient system of physical practices that originated during the Indus valley civilization back to 2700 BC.There are a number of saints,God religious book define Yoga a number of ways.some ways are as below-
According to Bhagwad Gita- Yoga is a equanimity of mind in success and failure.
According to Patanjali- Checking the impulse of mind is yoga.
According to Ved Vyas- Yoga is attenaining the pose.
According to Lord Krishna Skill in action or efficiency alone is yoga.
According to me- Yoga is a systematic and scientific practice of physical exercise, breath control, relexation, diet control and positive thinking and meditation.
There are a number of benefits of YOGA.Some benefits are as below.

1. It helps to identify our internal power, capacity, capabilities, strength, stemina
2. It increases our concentration power.
3. It minimise fatigue.
4. It improves the function of heart.
5. It improves the immune system of body.
6. It improves health and makes muscle strength.
7. It controls many diseases like anxiety, disorders, depression, HIV, asthma, diabetes
8. It fosters harmony in the body.
9. It makes us energetic, happier, conscious.
10. It makes increases awareness for goal, aim, objectives, destination, dream.
11. It improves relationship to senior, junior, colleague, manager, boss etc.
12. It improves posture and prevent pain in neck and lower back.
13. It increases flexibility of body.
In this way we can say that Yoga makes us mental physical emotional fit that helps us to optimum utilisation of power capacity capabilities and get our goal. aim, objectives, dream and destination and lives a happy life.
