Characteristcs of Management.

There are several characteristics of Management. These characteristics are as below.

1. Universal- It is the first characteristic of Management..Business is a universal function. It presents every corner of the world and Management makes business more effective so it presents every place where business performs its function.

2. Goal-oriented- There are several goals of Management. These goals may be proper utilization of men, women, money, machines, materials, method, market and so on so Management is a goal-oriented activity.

3. Continuous activities- Today is the 21st century. it is a globalized economy age. in this age, business works 24*7 form. Management is directly linked with business. The business works 24*7 forms. In this way, we may say that Management is a continuous activity.

4. Goal activity- There are several functions, sub-functions, activities we perform in Management. These functions are PLANNING, ORGANISING, STAFFING, DIRECTING, CONTROLLING, and planning many activities are involved.  sub-activities are to make policy, programs, rules, regulations, etc. every activity has a goal. it is possible low-class manager common man does not understand the goal but the top-class manager knows so they implement these policies.

5. Dynamic- The economy is changeable so all elements of the economy like customers, consumers, distribution channels, government, administrations, HRF are also changed according to the economy. Management is directly/indirectly concerned are these things so they are in dynamic form and change themselves according to the economy and achieve their goal.

6. Social activity- It is a social activity. In the process of Management, we manage man. Man belongs to different caste, communities, areas, religions, etc. So we should know the norms, principles of the society in which our HRF belongs.

7. Art- It is also an art. Many managers develop particular customs, traditions, working ways, working styles, norms. We follow and implement effective Management in our organization.

8. Intangible- Management is intangible. We may not see it. We feel it. All policies rule regulations, laws. The manager makes for the development of the organization give us positive result. Human resource forces feel it as the result of Management.

9. Science- It is also science. Science is the systematic knowledge of any things. Management also possesses systemic knowledge of man. Man does not know his knowledge, talent, skill, wisdom, power, capacity, capabilities but the manager knows it at a glance because managers measure man on personality, perception, attitude, vision, etc.

10. Separate Disciplinary- Management is not a subject but it consists of many positive features of Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce so it becomes a separate discipline.
